Expert Review
The third branch in the Shenkin family of cafés, this place has a convivial atmosphere with its brown tones, funky interior and lively clientele. It tends to get busy on rainy days as the hot Israeli food and communal tables promise a warm welcome. The generous cuisine – think soft hummus and rich shakshuka – works well at any time of day, and then there’s the coffee... Mecca beans are used to create a tantalising array of drinks. The Dark Horse blend makes a good latte, while the single origins are great for a long black with just the right amount of crema. This is the place for interesting food, a buzzing vibe and wonderful coffee. What’s not to love?
