Expert Review

The tiny TAP Coffee chain has opened its third venue, conveniently located on Wardour Street, just a stone’s throw from bustling Oxford Circus. The place stays true to TAP traditions with its black exterior finish, and a bike and a house number instead of a sign. Inside, the coffee shop is equally simple, with wooden floors, chairs and tables, and tree-trunk furniture dotted around the place. The warm lighting and airy, cosy vibe attracts the stylish from all over London, all in search of a great cup of coffee and a place to share time with friends, colleagues or family. The coffee is first class, with beans from Has Bean and Square Mile. The coffee-making equipment includes a top-notch espresso machine, Aeropress, Chemex and V60 pour-over. The food is prepared using the freshest ingredients and looks so good you’ll be hard pressed to resist. Try Keen’s Cheddar and Chutney Sandwich – it’s moist and delicious. TAP Coffee is just the place to free yourself from the stresses of work or home and enjoy great food and coffee in the heart of London.

Excellent coffee. Nice atmosphere. Best coffee till now in London. A bit more welcoming attitude at the counter would be great.

Superb coffee, great atmosphere, brilliant baristas despite "i know coffee better than you" unsavoury attitude at the order point.

Fabulous little coffee shop just of Oxford Street. Never too busy. Almost always get a seat. Drinks are first class. Service with a smile. Loyalty card 1 drink every 6. One of my favourite offer houses in town.

The flat white is excellent, banana bread is the softest I've ever tasted, wish I had their recipe! Love the laid back but lively atmosphere!

Some of the best (if not THE best) espresso in Soho. I've not tried anything else so can't review it. Atmosphere is relaxed and airy with a few hip and friendly antipodeans running things. Money well spent on an interesting cup!
